After visiting the National Palace Museum South Branch,
Besides riding the miniature train at the nearby Garlic Sugar Factory and enjoying their ice cream,
Now that you're already here, do you feel like going somewhere else for a stroll?
Today I'd like to introduce you all to a great place to visit.
That's Puzhi City, not far from the National Palace Museum South Branch!

In Chiayi City, a cluster of Japanese-style dormitories has transformed into a popular attraction—the Hinoki Forest Living Village.
There is also a cluster of Japanese-style dormitories in Puzhi City, located next to Dongshi Junior High School.
Built in the 1930s and still standing today, this complex consists of dormitories for teachers and police officers.
A few households still reside here, though most have already moved away.
Among them, the dormitory named "Harmony Cottage" was originally a police dormitory.
In 2015, Professor Su Ming-hsiao of the Department of Architecture at Yunlin University of Science and Technology initiated the application for renovation funding for this dormitory.
The cottage has now been revitalized and repurposed, serving not only as a nostalgic space open to visitors,
It also serves as a versatile space where Puzhi residents can gather and discuss when participating in community activities.
It is therefore also known as "Park's Cultural Living Room."

After visiting the cottage, turn left onto Wenming Road from Zhongzheng Road,
The Puzhi Embroidery Culture Museum displays numerous early embroidered household items.
There are also later embroidery creations,
Travelers interested in embroidery can take a look.
A few bicycles are available for rent outside the museum. Exploring Puzih by bike is also a great option!

Afterward, you can walk to Peitian Temple, a Mazu temple in Puzhi renowned for its thriving incense offerings.
There are also two peony trees known for their fertility-enhancing properties, which often draw many visitors!
Have you gotten hungry by now?
I recommend everyone try the delicious duck rice near Peitian Temple.
Enjoy super affordable food.
Chiayi City has chicken and pork rice bowls, known as "chicken-pork rice."
Puzih has duck and pork rice—duck and pork rice!
Highly recommended for everyone—this local delicacy.

Right next to Zhen Hao Wei Duck Rice is Puzhi First Market.
You'll also find some authentic local flavors from Puzih inside!
Like mochi~

After strolling through the market, do you feel like your feet need a rest?
Let's grab a coffee near the First Market!

Located on East City Road, "Qingmu House" is a coffee and light bites spot.
Though called a coffee and light bites spot, Qingmu House is actually an old house with a story to tell.
Formerly known as Qingmu Surgical Clinic,
Following the passing of Dr. Huang Qingmu,
The clinic has been idle for years.
Guided by the philosophy of "repairing the old house ourselves and telling its stories ourselves" embraced by the grandfather and his daughter-in-law,
Reintroduce the content of the Physician Story Gallery,
Combining modern preferences for coffee and light bites with a fresh take on the old house.

Sitting in the simple wooden cabin, one sometimes feels as if time has reversed, quietly savoring the peaceful afternoon.
Brother Huang recreated the clinic where Grandpa used to see patients.

The museum hall displays medical instruments left behind by Grandfather Huang.
